The 2012 Wideman Prize Competition Is Back This Year!

The Wideman Education Foundation (WEF) is an autonomous registered charity created to promote sound project management principles and skills, especially among young people.  The Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2012 Wideman Prize competition has been formally launched. Teams from Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia will be competing for this year's prize.  Learn more here.

Announcing: Chapter Mentorship Program - Spring 2012 Intake

The Spring 2012 Mentorship intake is approaching quickly. The registration deadline is February 19th for both Mentors and proteges, with workshops scheduled on March 6th and 8th. We are looking for enthusiastic working professionals who want to hone their skills by working with an experienced mentor, as well as those experienced mentors. In addition to the professional development benefits offered by this program, it also offers the opportunity to earn 15+ cold hard PDUs for both Mentors and Proteges.

Welcome to 2012!

Our year is off to a great start as we have many exciting events scheduled and in the planning process.  Our first monthly evening meeting is set for January 18th and our education portfolio is taking registrations for our always popular PMP/CAPM exam preparation course starting on January 21st.  New members to our growing chapter and those wishing to learn more about a career in project management can attend our new member orientation.
