Join the BC Institute of Certified Management Consultants and the Canadian West Coast Chapter PMI for this interactive panel discussion on the current and future state of Project Management Offices in organizations.
The panel will feature representatives from Pacific Blue Cross, Fortis, and Ritchie Brothers (RB) Auctioneers discussing the current role of their PMOs, how they measure success, and what they see as the future evolution of the PMO.
Each panelist will present an overview of the structure of PMO in the organization. From this introduction, the session will break into the following areas:
Current Role of the PMO
• Reporting lines in the organization
• Role of the PMO
• Tie into project identification, initiation, execution, and close-out phases
Evaluating “Success”
• What is success for the PMO?
• How is it currently evaluated?
• What metrics would you see adding?
Future Evolution
• How do you see the PMO evolving?
• Do you see “strategy execution” and the PMO beginning to merge?
• What changes to facilitate the on-going evolution of the PMO?
