eBlasts And You
The Problem
Have any of these ever happened to you?
- You wanted to attend an interesting Monthly Event, but forgot to register and had to pay the non-member price.
- You hoped to do some training, but when you applied the class was already full.
- You discovered too late that the Chapter wanted a speaker on a subject on which you're an expert.
Don't Miss Out
The Chapter sends regular email announcements, called "eBlasts". Typically there are four eBlasts each month, and they contain a digest of what's currently on the web site. The eBlasts are an "opt-in" service - you choose to receive them by subscribing to the service, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
A Different Way To Stay In Touch
Not everyone has a schedule that allows them to make frequent visits to the web site, or the time to review all its contents. The eBlasts provide you with an active reminder of the dates, times and locations of upcoming events. They supply links into the website so that you can quickly access further information, and make timely decisions.
Not Just For Members
You don't have to be a Chapter Member, or even a member of PMI, to receive eBlasts. Anyone can subscribe, and in fact about a third of our subscribers are non-members.
Managing Your Subscription
All new and returning Chapter Members are initially subscribed automatically to eBlasts, but are of course free to unsubscribe at any time after the first one has been received. Subscribers who want to change their email address have two options:
- A subscriber who is a member of PMI can change their contact email address with PMI (through PMI.org). This will result in a change of eBlast address.
- Any subscriber - member or not - can unsubscribe, and then subscribe with a new email address. For PMI members, this can result in the eBlast address being different from the PMI contact address. (That's not a problem, as long is it's what you intended.)
