Director - Sponsorship

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Sponsorship is responsible managing the Sponsorship Team within the Publicity Portfolio as well as for fulfillment of the activities expected to be done by Sponsorship Team.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

·         Reports to AVP Publicity and to VP Publicity.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

·         To manage day by day activities in sponsorship area

·         To perform the control of all sponsorship related documents before they are signed and by doing it – to protect the Chapter’s interests

·         To closely oversee the third party companies’ activities related to Chapter’s sponsorship

·         To work with the Programs, Education, Professional Development and other chapter teams on findings the new sponsors and new sponsorship modalities.

 

TIME COMMITMENT

·         10-20 hrs/month ( a bit more at the beginning, while getting up to speed)

CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR/IMPACT OF DECISIONS

·         Financial consequences to the Chapter

·         Business consequences to the Chapter

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

·         AVP Publicity and VP Publicity

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

·         Sponsorship Team members

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Strong organizational, and communication skills.

·         Energetic, enjoys challenges and can handle multi functional tasks in busy environments.

·         Highly motivated team player who is committed to a positive team environment

·         A good command of English ( Spelling and Grammar )

·         Must be PMI and Chapter member

·         PMI certification an asset

·         Previous marketing and/or sponsorship experience an asset

 

OTHER

·         Reliable and committed to the Chapter

·         Committed contribution (in both time and quality)
